Traditions
Traditions are the fabric of our institution's identity and culture, many which take place annually. These time-honored rituals and habits are important to us that we maintain our rich traditions which have defined what it means to be a part of Navarro.
NEW TRADITION! Bulldogs Unite Starting the 75th academic year in 2021, NC began preparations for the first annual tradition to commemorate members of the Navarro College community. The Bulldogs Unite is a ceremony in which all NC students, alumni, staff and the local community are presented with a medallion to signify unity in the Bulldog Family. The centerpiece of this event takes place every year on Navarro College Day on the campus of Navarro College-Corsicana. 2024 Bulldogs Unite Ceremony Date: September 16, 2024 Time: 6:00 PM Location: Barracks Bunch Clock Tower

OUR TRADITIONS
Here are a few of the traditions that the College celebrates as a whole:
The Throw Your Beau Hand Sign
A favorite student tradition that is a physical representation of the bulldog school spirit. It's like a fist sign with the pointer and pinky fingers raised and folded in half, symbolizing the ears of our bulldog mascot.
The Official Colors of Navarro College
In 1946, the first group of students and faculty gathered outside near the administration building and established the official colors of Navarro College as Red and White.
Bulldog Mascot
In deciding a school mascot, the bulldog was voted as the preferred breed of dog by the first student body in 1946. It was picked for its admirable traits of strength and determination.
In 1955, Beauregard I became the College's first official live mascot and was donated by Jimmy Morrison (Alum '48). Mr. Morrison was part of the first student body in selecting the school's mascot.

The Bulldog Fight Song
Fight on you Bulldogs, fight till you win, Fight on to Victory.
We’ll back the Red and White and our men with loyalty.
Let’s give a cheer and make echoes ring, Let’s Yell, yell with all our might.
The vic’try is sealed; our team never yields, Bulldogs
FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT.
B-U-L-L-D-O-G-S! GO BULLDOGS!
The Alma Mater
Hail Navarro, Hail Navarro
Loyal sons are we.
Hail to thee, our Alma Mater,
Hail, all hail to thee.
Lift your voices, sing her praises,
Cheer for victory;
Honor to thee, proud Navarro.
Glory now to thee.
