Dr. Darion Walton currently serves as a K-12 Administrator in Dallas, Director of Education for PhiBeta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Professor of Business for Dallas Colleges, and Co-Founder of Walton Inspires, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to changing perspectives and lives. As a first-generation college student, Darion understood the need to continuously reinvent himself to adapt to this ever-changing society. He earned both his Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University before obtaining his Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors and recognized in the National Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges.
As an education leader, Dr. Walton has received numerous accolades, including Educator of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Microsoft Innovative Educator. He has also been honored with awards such as Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction, Superstar Educator, and Champion of Computer Science Education. Dr. Walton has secured over $100,000.00 in grants for Education, Technology, STEM, Racial Equity, and Innovation for underserved populations. In his role as Director of Education for Theta Mu Sigma Chapter, Dr. Walton has garnered awards on local, regional, and national levels, including Sigma of the Month and Gulf Coast Region Education recognition. Additionally, his nonprofit, Walton Inspires, was co-founded in 2015 to empower youth from diverse backgrounds through mentoring and educational opportunities.
