(In fondest memory of Dianna Truelove, who passed away March 1998)
A Dawson high school graduate, Dianna Truelove was a member of the Senorita Drill Team and numerous other clubs and organizations at Navarro. She attended Stephen F. Austin University and Texas Christian University after graduating from Navarro in 1968 and began her career in the Fort Worth courts system where she became President of the Fort Worth Legal Secretaries Association. Dianna then worked for the San Antonio court system for two years and returned to Fort Worth, where she was Municipal Court Administrator for twenty years. During that time, she was a delegate to a National Women’s Conference and to the Inauguration of President Ronald Reagan. She received The Yellow Rose of Texas Award for outstanding women in government in 1982. Dianna served on the Northside Development Committee of Fort Worth that helped develop the Stockyards area. In the late 1980s, she was honored to be an economic delegate to China thru the Sister City program promoting Fort Worth and she continued to travel around the world promoting the city of Fort Worth. She received the Judge Sarah T. Hughes Award for Women in government. The Bobby Norris Roundup for Autism named their volunteer of the year award after Dianna – The Dianna Heiner Volunteer of the Year Award. Dianna passed away in March 1998.
